The largest hula hoop successfully rotated at least three times around a person's waist had a diameter of 13ft4in[4.08m].Nozomi Tsuju and Ai Kago [both Japan] rotated the hoop for 30 seconds each at the studios of Nippon Television Network, Tokyo, Japan, on January 1 2004.
